April Prompts

One of the most common questions I get about journaling every day is “what do I even write about!?” I write about literally anything and everything in my life - what I’ve been up to, what I want to do, what’s happening in nature, something silly my pet did. I get it though, some days the inspiration isn’t there, even though you’ve got everything prepared to get to journaling. Here are five things I’m including in my journal for April, my hope is it serves as a creative spark for you.

  1. Go Wild Plans - I’m planning on attending the biggest planner/journal conference of the year, Go Wild, so definitely have some plans I want to jot down.

  2. Wildflowers - I live in Texas where spring means allergies and wildflowers. I like to press some flowers to include in my journal, but I also like keeping track of all the new varieties I see popping up.

  3. Rainy day essentials - I love pausing for a few minutes when it rains to acknowledge the beauty, but when I have some extra time, I like cozying up on the porch with a book to read and listen to it fall.

  4. Bird watching - I’m obsessed with our backyard birds and love to keep a record of all the visitors we get during spring migrations.

  5. Spring favorite things - Sometimes I really don’t like spring because of all the allergies I deal with, so I like keeping a list of all the things I do love to help remind me that it’s not so bad after all!
