May Prompts

One of the most common questions I get about journaling every day is “what do I even write about!?” I write about literally anything and everything in my life - what I’ve been up to, what I want to do, what’s happening in nature, something silly my pet did. I get it though, some days the inspiration isn’t there, even though you’ve got everything prepared to get to journaling. Here are five things I’m including in my journal for May, my hope is it serves as a creative spark for you.

  1. Where I’ve travelled - I think this is so fun to recall all the places I’ve been before!

  2. Where I want to travel - For every place I’ve been, there’s three more I want to go! I love keeping a list and seeing how my top contenders change through the year.

  3. What’s inside my purse - This is fun to sketch or use stickers to illustrate what’s in my purse as well as the purse I’m currently carrying. I was never a shoe gal, but I always loved getting a new handbag.

  4. Inside jokes - This is something I usually include each month at the end of the month to try and capture those silly, intimate moments that only you and your loved ones really understand.

  5. Summer traditions - Is it really summer unless you eat a half melted ice cream cone, swim past dark, and have a bonfire?!

Don’t forget to tag me on Instagram @thefeatheredjournal if you include any of these in your journals.
