Journaling Supplies
Raise your hand if journaling ever felt like a chore that you didn’t want to do!? For the longest time I felt like I needed to journal, but I never could enjoy it. One day, a friend mentioned some Flair pens to me. Intrigued, I pick some up and I loved them. They wrote well and came in fun colors! It made writing actually fun. From that moment on, I made sure to get materials that excited me for journaling. It’s made the process fun and gives me something to look forward to rather than dread. Here are some supplies I love using and would recommend to anyone looking for something new in their journaling routine. Reach out and let me know your favorite supplies so I can be sure to try them too!
Papermate Flair Pens - The pens that started it all for me!
Acroball Pens - These are great all-around pens that I use for taking notes or general journaling.
Pentel Energel Pens - These are my favorite pens to use on the Tomoe River Paper in the Hobonichi journals - they are quick drying and write so smooth!
Hobonichi Cousin - This is a daily/weekly planner, but I use it to do my creative journaling in. I like having a dated page per day for accountability to write or create in some way each day.
Hobonichi Techo - This is similar to the Hobonichi Cousin, but about half the size and doesn’t have weekly pages. The daily dated pages provide great accountability, but without the large space that can be overwhelming to fill.
Prima Traveler’s Journal - I love this super customizable journal. I use this to bring with me to events for notetaking because it’s so portable. I like that is very customizable too; there’s so many different insert styles and accessories you can get.
White Out - I buy this in bulk because I make a lot of mistakes.
Washi tape - Such a fun addition to make your journal look cute. Simply Gilded makes some of the most gorgeous and high-quality washi tapes. Trust me, it’s worth the few extra bucks to get the quality here.
